The ninth Hay Festival Segovia will take place 25–28 September, with an opening event on 20 September. IE University is principal sponsor of the festival as well as academic partner. IE will lead in the following events:

José Carlos Martínez, recognized as one of the world’s best dancers and currently serving as choreographer and artistic director of Spain’s National Dance Company, and Enrique Loewe Lynch, Honorary President of the Loewe Foundation, lecturer and active patron of the arts, will be talking to Julieta Martialay, who writes for the lifestyle section of Elle magazine, about art, culture and dance on the 35th anniversary of the National Dance Company. Introduced by luxury expert Susana Campuzano.

Chris Patten (Lord Patten of Barnes) is a British politician, Chancellor of Oxford University and head of the Vatican’s communications and media team. Previously, he was an EU commissioner, the last governor of Hong Kong, and chair of the BBC. He talks to Santiago Iñiguez, president of IE University, and Javier Moreno, journalist and former editor (2006–2014) of El País. The event is introduced by Revel Guest, Chair of the Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts.
