I couldn’t agree more. There is the widespread opinion in the postmodern-digital era that abundance generates excellence, while to the contrary, it generates mostly rubish. Film making, not to say art (for example, through film making) was, is and will be at the reach of a minority.

Agreed. This totally translates into photography, too. The urgency of shooting on film and not be able to delete the bad digital photographs, and the general understanding of composition and capturing a mood does not equal expensive equipment that takes good looking pictures.
